A Socialite’s Life was begun in August of 2003 and has been sharing the scoop with its readership ever since. You can easily move around in the content of the site by selecting current stories, selecting from a drop down of stars, or selecting a month and year archive section. Miu has two “spiritual designers” (using Typekey as the blog backbone) who have had an impact on the design, which is fairly simple and doesn’t have the best layout, but readers don’t seem to care since the content is so good. The current readership averages around 600,000 per month and is continuing to grow. Heck, when a blog can charge $500 a month for an advertisement, you know they are doing something right. There is plenty of new content added daily, and with the assistance of a copy editor, Miu is able to write all that and manage over 400 comments and emails each day. Very impressive!

I encourage you to read the Ordinary People section which is full of stories that you just wouldn’t expect to read – a battle between a man and deer, a taxicab shares “crappy” cookies, or a parking ticket issued for a dead man. These stories are very sad, funny, and enlightening.
